Escape from Babylon We are constantly bombarded with temptation and the ways of the world. We are called to escape this enticement. Verse: Zechariah 2:7 7 “Come away, people of Zion, you who are exiled in Babylon!”” The people of Israel were successful in their land of captivity - Babylon. There was very little incentive for the people to leave Babylon and return. But there were a few who return because they had in them the love of Jerusalem. We are called to have the love of the Father Verse: 1 John 2:15 15 “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” How is this relevant to us. Babylon represents behavioural patterns and thought process. And hence we need to transform ourselves into a new person.
