It is finished!

It is finished! We often associate victory with life to those who are in battle. The Good Friday story is the only victory story that was of death. The victory statement is small voice "it is finished" In the moment of this quiet victory, Jesus had other declarations to make.  Verse: John 19:26-27 [26] When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, “ Dear woman, here is your son. ”  [27] And he said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from then on this disciple took her into his home.  Jesus was nearing death and yet he was mindful of his earthly duty. He was a son and he asked for his mother to be taken care of.  Often times, when faced with abandonment from those who you love, we don't have the ability to love others. But this declaration speaks loud of our responsibilities. We need as Christians to follow Jesus' example and care for those in our family and our church. You are probably going through a hard time.
