What God can do through you?

The purpose of our life on earth is to do what God wants us to do. And sometimes, we go through life aimlessly. Here is some points that will help you from

  • Light
  • Remove the Blinders
  • Transformation 

Light

The first thing that you need in situation of lack of clarity, we need the light. And the Lord is the light we are looking for.

Verse: Psalm 18:28

28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.

Verse: Psalm 27:1

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?

Darkness means ignorance. And Satan rules over us when we are ignornant. But light makes such a difference that it creates something within from no where. 

One such incident is when he created the earth. There are several verses in the creation story that talks of light .... Genesis 1:3,4,5,14,15,16

Remove the Blinders

Paul talks of the light of the Gospel. While we may have light all around us, we need to remove our blinders to see God. 

Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:4

4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 

The light of the Gospel is not evident to the people who have blinds on. The blinds needs to be removed. Once the blinds are removed, the knowledge is revealed which ultimately points to Christ.

Samaritan Woman

One such incident was when Jesus brought light and removed the blinders is the Samaritan woman (John 4). Jesus the light of the world was in front of her but she was unwilling to engage with the Jesus.

Sometimes our prejudice will stop us from being a light to the people. Prejudice can be shaped by tradition, people etc. The woman spoke of tradition and knew exactly what was forbidden. Tradition binds them and blinds them. 

But Jesus spoke the light, removed the blinder, she ran into the village and said.... "see the man who told me everything about my life". And that light shone through the woman into the village and they recognized Jesus as the savior of the world.

Verse: John 4:42

42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

Transformation

Here is another incident of transformation. Jesus crossed over and came to the country of Gerasenes. The light shone and the demons were disturbed. But the man was delivered and the people from his village observed the light shone on the man..... They saw the man clothed and in the right mind. 

Jesus brings transformation .... And this was a night and day transformation. 

The transformation brought clarity into what Jesus wanted him to do. He asked him to go back to his town and tell them about the wonderful things that God had done. 

This is how you serve the Lord. The transformation that you experienced will light up someones life. Again the healing of the paralytic man was possible because four men came together to bring that light. It also points out to where you may get other people on board with your vision

What can God do through you?

The answer is .... There is no limit to what God can do. The lives of Paul Yonggi Cho, the Wesley brothers and a host of others are testimony to this. Be that transformed person with the fullness of God's light in your life. You will be able to serve God in the fullness of His power

Kill the Babies!!!

Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality.
