Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand The first sermon that Jesus spoke was about "Repent for teh Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" Verse: Matthew 4:17 From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” This Kingdom of God was proclaimed in the book of Daniel .... a kingdom that will rule the earth and no on can stand against it  Verse: Daniel 2:44 “During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered . It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever. And so the Kingdom has come.... and have we prepared our hearts in Repentance. What is Repentance? Change of mind Rending your hearts Setting our eyes on God Lay down your will Change of mind Our mind is essential to prepare for the Kingdom of God.  Kings and Priests There position of the King and Priest is never bestowed on two different people. But we do have exception - Melchizedek, Jesus and the Church Verse: 1 Peter 2:9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests , a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. God instituted the King and Priest and that is his design. When man lost his dominion the garden of Eden, God wants to restore this with the people of Israel Verse: Exodus 19:6 And you will be my kingdom of priests , my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.” Role of the King The king is associated with royalty.  Living the life of Christ Often times, we fail to live the life that is expected of us. Paul decided to not to live his life but living Christ life. He decided that his lifestyle of living Christ in him . Verse: Galatians 2:20 20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me . So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. The moment you loose the religiosity, you start to enjoy the life of Christ Lifestyle: Righteousness There was a couple who decided to live God's life in a political situation that was difficult. But what made this worse, is that there was a silence of 400 years..... The last prophet was Malachi.  Thy Kingdom 2 God intention for the whole world is to bring unity between earth and heaven. The unity for man is achieved because salvation that he brought to us. But God purpose and plan is to bring everything together under the good plan of God Verse: Ephesians 1:7‭-‬10 7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.  8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.  9 God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan.  10 And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. This unity comes when the Kingdom of God is reestablished. What does that mean? It means that the Kingdom was los.
