 Living the life of Christ

Often times, we fail to live the life that is expected of us. Paul decided to not to live his life but living Christ life. He decided that his lifestyle of living Christ in him.

Verse: Galatians 2:20

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The moment you loose the religiosity, you start to enjoy the life of Christ

Lifestyle: Righteousness

There was a couple who decided to live God's life in a political situation that was difficult. But what made this worse, is that there was a silence of 400 years..... The last prophet was Malachi. This couple was Zechariah and Elizabeth

Verse: Luke 1:6

6 Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations.

And when you live this lifestyle and wait on him, you will be empowered by the Holy Spirit. Just like the disciples and the 120 who were empowered. 

This empowerment does not come because of wealth or education.... infact Peter and John openly confessed

"Silver and Gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee ..... "

But this caused the lame to walk, blind to see and the dead to be raised. Do you want this lifestyle?

Lifestyle: Good Character

Peter was one man who failed again and again. He denied Jesus. And Satan had every right to destroy Peter

Verse: Luke 22:31‭-‬32

31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 

32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

Jesus recognised Peter's willingness and prayed for him. Here is the commitment Peter made

Verse: John 6:68

Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.

So Jesus in his lifestyle to serve continued to help Peter and all the rest of us,

Verse: Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Peter later even sinned by being a hypocrite with the Gentile believers. But Jesus who continues to serve, is working on our character. 

Are you willing to empty yourself.... not offering Silver and Gold..... but offering the life he was living..... the name of Jesus.

Lifestyle: Word of God

How we live the God Lifestyle? We have to look to God himself. Jesus quoted the scripture through every situation of life .... Matthew 4 or Luke 4. And the devil fled!!!

We often as people like religious practices. We don't want this. It is burdensome. But in a relationship, there is joy..... And relationship involves listening to the other person..... The Word of God is the key.

Lifestyle: Prayer

Prayer changes you and the situation around you.

Verse: Acts 3:1

Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service.

And they prayed together... Peter and John .... together..... Zechariah and Elizabeth.... together..... And you will never know what will happen.

And do you know why praying together works? It is the name of Jesus

Verse: Acts 3:16

“Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.

Conclusion

Make a choice to live the Christ in me lifestyle .... It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me

Happy Men's Day! Celebrating people is important because it builds community, strengthens relationships, and creates a culture of gratitude and appreciation. We all celebrate Women's Day. Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality.
