Mansion, Way, Spirit

Passage: John 14

In our study of John 14, we will study three words

  • Mansion
  • Way
  • Spirit

Mansion

Verse: 2-4 (Passage)

2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 

3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 

4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

We know that the earth is a temporary place and we are all journeying to take our place in the mansion prepared for us.

 This mansion is a place of rest after our arduous effort on earth. Here are some verses of the reference to heaven in Isaiah

Verse: Isaiah 2:2

In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all— the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.

Verse: Isaiah 60:7 

The flocks of Kedar will be given to you, and the rams of Nebaioth will be brought for my altars. I will accept their offerings, and I will make my Temple glorious.

Way

Jesus is the way. There is no other way.

Verse: 6 (Passage)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Some people might resort to un-authorised access to the Spirit World. Saul was one of them.

Verse: 1 Samuel 28:7

Saul then said to his advisers, “Find a woman who is a medium, so I can go and ask her what to do.” His advisers replied, “There is a medium at Endor.”

Saul was killed in battle and his generation after him ceased to be kings

Spirit

The other word is advocate who fights on your behalf

Verse: 16‭-‬18 (Passage)

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 

17He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. 

18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.

How far will the Holy Spirit go in your spiritual journey. The verse 17 mentions three things

  • Know you
  • Dwells with you
  • In you
The Holy Spirit goes beyond and dwells in us. So this means that we house God in us.

So let us be renewed and ask the Holy Spirit to ove-flow within us

Happy Men's Day! Celebrating people is important because it builds community, strengthens relationships, and creates a culture of gratitude and appreciation. We all celebrate Women's Day. Kill the Babies!!!

Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality.
