 Worship

David house (worship) had to be restored..... 

Verse: Amos 9:11

11 “In that day I will restore the fallen house of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it and restore its former glory.

What does David's house represent. It represents the worship to the Almighty God. His worship and love for God was intense.... and he describes it in Psalms. 

Verse: Psalms 63:1

1 O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

The intensity of worship of the woman was so intense - the one who broke the alabaster jar...  that Jesus was moved by it

Verse: Matthew 26:13

13 I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.”

Here are different tents 

  • Priestly Tent (Related to duty)
  •  Prophetic Tent (Encounter with God)

We need to perform our duty and out of these action God encounters us. This is when we seek God earnestly in out duties

David Tent

Verse: 1 Samuel 17:54

54 (David took the Philistine’s head to Jerusalem, but he stored the man’s armor in his own tent.)

Davd put the armour in his tent as a celebration and thankfulness to God. In David's tent was the music of worship. He took his accomplishment to the place of his worship to God. 

Seeking and waiting in Worship

The ark of the Lord had to be brought back. The ark of the Lord was not in the right place for a long time. And this finally happened

Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:1

1 They brought the Ark of God and placed it inside the special tent David had prepared for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to God.

He waited on the Lord, pitched a special tent and established worship. And the blessing came to his family

Verse: 1 Chronicles 16:43

43 Then all the people returned to their homes, and David turned and went home to bless his own family.

Where is our priority?

Verse: John 6:27

27 But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.”

Let us turn to the Lord and seek what is important.... worship (love) the Lord.

Happy Men's Day! Celebrating people is important because it builds community, strengthens relationships, and creates a culture of gratitude and appreciation. We all celebrate Women's Day. Kill the Babies!!!

Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality.
