Time, Seasons and Opportunities

Verse: Genesis 8:22

22 As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

God gives us different experiences in our life. These experiences are always good because God is good. And when God looked at the Sun, Moon, earth, the stars.... and he said that it was so good.

Verse: Genesis 1:31

31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!  

Here is who Solomon classified the times.... but it is good in its own time.

Verse: Ecclesiastes 3:1,11

1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.

Jesus would operate and do things in the right time.... and at times, he refused to move because it was not the right time. So we need to be mindful and take the opportunity

Verse: Isaiah 55:6

6 Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.

God is near us at this time. Don't let this go!!!

Verse: Luke 19:42

42 “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.

What is the way of peace? It is found in the scripture. And now is the time to seek God

Verse: Psalm 32:6

6 Therefore, let all the godly pray to you while there is still time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment.

And God is the one who is in charge of the times.

Verse: Daniel 2:21

21 He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.

God uses people both righteous and ungodly for His purpose

Verse: Ecclesiastes 9:11 

11 Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.

We need to be mindful because our strengths may not give us the desired results. But the opportune time along with our ability provides for success.

Verse: Psalm 1:3

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers 

What keeps us mindful of good seasons is faith in his promises. Peter was cleaning his nets with any catch of fish. And Jesus came along and said, "Come and follow me....". Peter left everything because he was able to recognize the season of his life. 

The Church is in the right season to stand emboldened. 

Warning!!!

Verse: Hebrews 3:15

" .... Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled"

Let us pray so that we will not rebel when it is our time and our season. Enjoy and experience what God has for you!!!

Happy Men's Day! Celebrating people is important because it builds community, strengthens relationships, and creates a culture of gratitude and appreciation. We all celebrate Women's Day. Kill the Babies!!!

Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality.
