 Ruth

When you are going through a hard time, we look for a place that alleviates this pain. The family of Naomi moved from Bethlehem to Moab. Things didn't turn out well. The family lost their men to death and the three women were left all alone without protection. Noami didn't have the capacity to care for her daughter-in-laws. She advised them to find a new family as they were young.... But Ruth decided to stick with Naomi and here is what she said...

".... where you die, I will die...."  (Verse: Ruth 1:17)

Noami didn't have much to offer but she was ok with Ruth joining as long as expectations was clear. Naomi didn't have much to offer and here is what Noami said.

Verse: Ruth 1:21

21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the Lord has caused me to suffer[a] and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?”

Oftentimes, we blurt un-truth in our hard times. Naomi had no idea what God had planned for their family.

Confidence

Verse: 1 Corinthians 2:9

9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

When you believe what God has in store, our life pain disappears.

Providence

God makes a way where there seems to be no way. Noami returned to Bethlehem ... to their old house. There was really nothing there. And they didn't have any food. Ruth was forced to go out and glean. This openned the door to connect with Boaz.

Verse: Ruth 2:12

12 May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done
