Your Kingdom come

“… Your kingdom come, you will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven” Matthew 6:10

The Kingdom of God is the perfect reign of God in every area of our lives. When God is reigning, it can remove unpleasantness, quarrels and there will be peace.

Verse: Matthew 4:23

23 “Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.”

The gospel (good news) of the Kingdom was preached and demonstrated with the healing of disease and illness. We are all saved by His grace. But where is the demonstration?

Here are three points to ponder on

  • A spiritual Kingdom
  • Kingdom of Shalom
  • Kingdom of Power

A Spiritual Kingdom

Verse: John 18:3

3 “Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.””

The Kingdom of God does operates in the Spiritual and this affects our lives. Our lives then changes the physical world.

Kingdom of Shalom

Verse: Romans 14:17

17 “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

There is peace when the Kingdom of God is established.

Righteousness, Peace and Joy…. Peace comes when righteousness is established. What is righteousness? It is being right with God and right with man. 

Kingdom of Power

Kill the Babies!!!

Morality Standards A picture is painted of a potter fashioning clay to his liking. And this animated picture brings life to the clay, with the clay protesting the Potters's design. This surprised Potter asks "Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?" Jeremiah 18:5 NIV It seems completely reasonable and moral that the Potter is allowed to shape the clay to his design and liking. Conversely it is unreasonable and immoral for the clay to protest the Potter's design.   "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!" Isaiah 29:16 NIV And yet, we continue in our unreasonability and turn things upside down. Why does mere clay (or humankind), protest the Potter (or God) on morality. Pride Obadiah was a prophecy about God's judgement on Edom. Edom was on an elevated land and it gave them an advantage in terms of war.  Though you soar aloft like the eagle, thoh your next is set among the stars, from there I will bring you dow declare the Lord (Verse 4) Edom's position Edom was unique because it was  Prosperous Nation Popular Nation Perceptive Nation Powerful nation Prosperous Nation People take pride in our position in society.
